Soul Matters Counselling

Hello, I'm Liz, a qualified integrative counsellor with a warm, non-judgmental approach to helping individuals navigate life's challenges.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or struggling to cope with the challenges life has thrown your way? Do you find yourself wondering if anyone truly understands what you're going through? You're not alone. Many people, especially those who are neurodivergent, face similar struggles. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. It's okay to need support, and counselling can provide you with a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Hello, and welcome to Soul Matters Counselling. My name is Liz, and I'm a qualified integrative counsellor passionate about supporting adults on their journey towards personal growth and well-being. As an autistic individual with ADHD, I bring a unique perspective and deep understanding to my work with clients who have autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergent conditions.

I provide both short-term and long-term counselling services for adults, offering sessions online, by telephone, or through text-based support. My approach is warm, compassionate, and adapted to your individual needs and preferences. I work with clients facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma, and I specialise in helping people navigate the everyday struggles of a neurotypical world. Through our collaborative work, you'll develop a greater sense of self-awareness, acquire practical tools and strategies for managing difficulties, and cultivate the inner strength needed to create positive change in your life.

My goal is to provide you with a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

Collaborative Counseling Space

Counselling is a collaborative process that provides you with a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It's an opportunity to work with a trained professional who will listen attentively, offer support, and help you gain new perspectives on the challenges you face.

Journey of Self-Discovery

Counselling is not about receiving advice or being told what to do. Instead, it's a journey of self-discovery and growth, where you'll develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your unique needs. Through counselling, you can learn practical coping strategies, improve your communication skills, and build stronger, healthier relationships with others.

Transformative Counseling Support

Whether you're navigating the complexities of being neurodivergent, processing past traumas, or struggling with anxiety or depression, counselling can provide you with the tools and support needed to create meaningful change. By offering a warm, accepting environment, counselling can help you cultivate self-awareness, strengthen your sense of self, and develop the confidence to pursue your goals and live a more authentic, fulfilling life.

Neurodiversity and counselling

For neurodivergent individuals, particularly those with autism and ADHD, counselling can play a crucial role in promoting self-understanding, self-acceptance, and overall well-being. Navigating a world designed for neurotypical minds can be challenging, leading to feelings of isolation, frustration, and self-doubt. Counselling provides a safe, non-judgmental space to explore these experiences and develop strategies for success.

As a counsellor who is both autistic and has ADHD, I bring a deep understanding and personal insight into the joys and struggles of being neurodivergent. My goal is to help you identify and celebrate your unique strengths while developing practical tools for managing the challenges you face. Together, we'll work on building self-advocacy skills, improving communication, and creating a life that honours your authentic self. Whether you're seeking a formal diagnosis, struggling with sensory overload, or simply need a supportive ear, I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey towards greater self-understanding and fulfilment.
